Cattle – 1093

 Medium and heavy feeder steers at Inverell resulted in strong trends and light steers to background sold to considerable rises. With one exporter absent the usual buyers attended to a market of 1093 mixed quality cattle.  Weaner steers were significantly dearer  to sell to 420c/kg.  Conversely the heifer drafts were 5c/kg cheaper and made to 368c/kg. Light background steers were considerably dearer up to 40c/kg better with medium feeders to 3c/kg dearer and heavy feeders featuring up to 22c/kg better. Light restocker heifers were back 20c/kg and a lack of quality set the medium weight feeder heifers back 40c/kg. Heavy feeder heifers cheaper by 20c/kg and sold to 306c/kg.  Heavy grown heifers to process were cheaper back 37c/kg. Cows were cheaper throughout  with heavy drafts to 12c/kg back and making 244c to 259c/kg.
