Cattle– 888

Inverell penned 888 mixed quality cattle which was 140 extra from last sale. Most buyers attended to a varying market which saw heavy cows dearer as well as medium feeder and processor heifers.   Light weaner steers sold to dearer trends to restockers with the heifer portion of that category firm to slightly cheaper. Light weight yearling steers to feed resulted in dearer trends selling to 340c/kg. Conversely the medium weights sold to a cheaper trend. Light and medium weight heifers sold to dearer trends and processor heifers also dearer to top at 290c/kg.  Medium cows were cheaper 142c to 174c/kg and cows to the restockers reached 140c/kg. Heavy weight cows were up to 11c/kg better to top at 223c/kg.  This sale compiled remotely. 

Sheep 

Yarding–  1889 Lambs– 1588 Sheep– 301

Inverell penned 1889 sheep and lambs comprising 1588 lambs and 301 grown sheep. Most buyers attended to a much cheaper market with very little restocker competition.   Light processor lambs $85 to $112/head with the trade lambs $110 to $116/head and both categories cheaper. Heavy and very heavy lambs both saw considerably cheaper trends selling to $156 and $166/head respectively. Hoggets made to $85/head.  Grown sheep sold to considerably cheaper trends. Light and medium ewes sold $52 to $80/head and heavy ewes to $85/head. Rams ranged $10 to $30/head.  This sale was compiled remotely.
